If you've come to this page then you're looking for a definitive price list, but I'm afraid that it's just not practical for me to provide one.
Unfortunately there's no 'one size fits all' approach to pricing what I proofread. Every project is different, and I take the time to understand my client's requirements before providing a quote. It's important for me to have as much information as possible relating to a number of factors. If you are a student, then please visit this page for further details regarding my starting price, as well as what information I require from you in order to provide a quote. |
So here's the sorts of things I need to know:
What type of document is it? Academic publication, novel, thesis/dissertation, company brochure, CV, etc.? Is it very complex? For example, a significant number of references, or lots of tables and illustrations. What is the word count? When would you like me to start? And when would you like it back? I do get booked up in advance by regular clients, so giving me as much notice as possible is hugely helpful. I love my job, but I don't work 24/7 (I need some downtime...) So if you have a very tight deadline, which may require working in the evenings or at weekends, then please be aware that this will be reflected in the price. Are you able to send me a sample (or the whole document) to evaluate? Having a sample is really useful, as I can quickly assess how long it will take to complete the proofread. |
If you would like to discuss a particular project, or find out my availability, then please get in touch for a no-obligation quote.
